It's cool to be kind

Today I'm one of the student that got a chance to go to Hornby Elderly Daycare Center to see and to have a chance to talk to the old people there. Before we go there our teacher gave us a time to take one thing that we want to share to the people there, I decided to take my phone since there are some pictures and I decided to share my picture with my friends. That picture is we took after we watch a movie. Once we got there I feel so happy because there are so nice and some of them is make me remember my grandparents. After I share the things that I want to share to them we started to talk and ask some question to each other so that we can get to know each other. On the table I'm with Lhysette and we talk to the old and beautiful ladies their name is Pam, Maureen, Kay, Norma. I really enjoy talking to them because they are so nice and I know so much interesting things about them. I really want to go there again to have a chance to talk to the others that I didn't talk because we just have a short time. After that it's time to go back to our school we say goodbye at them and once we got outside me and the other student wave to them and they just laugh because we are waving until we reach the road. I really enjoy this and I want to go there again.

Community Impact Project - All Blacks

Last week for our community impact project we share some of our ideas about All Black, after that our teacher gave us some choices what do we want to do our choices is poster, card and something else I did a poster and i put design on it to make this more beautiful. I just make this  simple so I can finish this post it to my blog. I took a picture of my poster and here is it.

Music Hurumanu - Different Instruments

Today for our music hurumanu our teacher gave us a task to right the definition of the different instrumental families. We need to right the definition using our own words to prove that we know  the definition of these instrument. I make a slides to represent my work. We also did this slides so that we can put it to our blog and to share our own definition about different instrument families.

How to make a hangi

Yesterday we watch a short video about how to make a hangi. Hangi is different way of cooking doing hangi is like cooking underground after watching the short video we pair up to make document explaining the steps how to make a hangi and how long did it take. I learn to make hangi and what are the steps that i need to do if i want to try doing this.I think i like to try this because it's interesting and i want to try something new.

CIP - It's cool to be kind

For today community impact project we talk about one of the popular rugby team in New Zealand, we also have time to share to each other they ideas what they know about this Rugby team. Since I'm new here in New Zealand i really don't know about them but after our discussing about them it help me to know about All Blacks team. Also there was a plane that named after their team and it's called Air All Black.

After sharing some ideas we did this chart and we need to answer the question base on our knowledge about All Black I really enjoy this because i have a chance to share my ideas about their team and have a chance to know more about them.

It's cool to be kind

Today for our community impact project we need to do a letter for someone important to us or to someone that close to us, you can right for your friend, teacher, family member or to anyone that important and close to you . At first I'm not sure if who I was going to write because i have so many people that important to me, but i decided to make a letter for my parents because they are the most important person to me because they sacrifice so much for us so i decided to write a letter to thank them and to say sorry for the wrong things that I did sometimes. I really like this topic for our community impact project because I have a chance to thank my parents for what they did for m and for my siblings. We did this activity so we can spread the kindness everywhere. I really enjoy this activity because it gave me a chance to right a letter so someone important to me.

Materials:

1.  Cups (4)
2.  Water
3. Tin foil 
4.  2 sheets of white paper
5.  1 sheet black paper
6. thermometer
7. 1 large cup/

Steps

1.   Get a cups, four small cups and 1 large cup and black paper, white paper and foil.
2.  Put a water on the small cups but don't put too much.
3.  Get the large cup and put it on the top of the one small cup.
4.  After that place the 1 small cup on the white paper, 1 small cup on the white paper, one on the foil and the small cup with large cup on the top put it on the another white paper.
5.   Get a heat lamp and make sure that light from heat lamp is going to a cup with water.
6.  After that wait for 15 minutes before you measure the water and turn off the heat lamp and wait at least 15 minutes before open it again.

Findings: 

I think our experiment going well because we find out the temperature and the temperature is going up and down.  But my group got confused because we have a lot of cup that we need to measure so we got confused. But i really enjoy this experiment because i learn how to measure the heat and i learn how the heat is forming.

Conclusion

I enjoy doing this experiment because i learn something new. We place our experiment kinda close to the door and while measuring the temperature of water we are sitting around our experiment which s helping to make more heat so that's why the heat is going up. I enjoy this because we did it right and we try and learn something new for science and because we did it right we an do our blog post right because we have the right details.
