1347 Europe - Social Studies

For social studies, our topic for this task is all about life in medieval days. Some part of this task all about reading some story to give us an idea for the work that we need to do for this task. I know some of you is curious so I will put the picture of it so you can read it if you guys are interested.

After I read this it gave a me an idea for my task. The task that we need to do is to draw base on our imagination what do we think is the life before in 1347, I'm quite nervous to do it since I am not good at drawing at all, also for our drawing we need to include some houses, and strips of land giving our drawing a title. This is the drawing that I made.

We have two activities that we need to do and both of them is about drawing, the other one that we need to do is draw a cleric. Cleric is a religious official or member of a clergy. It can be priest and it can also be holy warrior. This is my drawing.

Business Studies - Creating Money

I think probably all of know that our school is in lock down for more than a week because of the problem that is happening to our country, but that doesn't mean that we don't have some work to do while we are staying at home. The task that our teacher gave us for business studies is about money since our topic for this subject is all about money. We are going to do our own money, I really like this because it will help me a lot to know more about money.
  • Generally accepted
  • Durable
  • Divisible
  • Stable
  • Transportable
  • Scarce
  • Easily recognizable
  • Difficult to counterfeit

The money that I make is made out of polymer so when you accidentally got wet or you drop into the water the money will just be the same. Also I decided that the color of my money will be the same of the real 50 dollars money so I don't have to make more work. Mt. Cook and the riroriro bird is the thing that I out to my money because probably all of us knows about this two so I want to make a money that some people knows every detail on it.

Business Study

Today for our business study we were talking about money. We have our choice if we want to do a mind map of a t-chart. I decided to do a t-chart since I am not familiar in mind map. Also I choose to do  a T-chart because  it's easy and we just have an hour so I did this so I will able to finish. Also we have to write to three or two sentences what we have learnt for today.

Money is an item than you can use to buy some things and an item that you were able to exchange to something. Also money is something that you can traid to somethings, for example if you want to buy something, they will give it to and you will give you money. Money is really important because they can do a lot and they can help us.

Rats/Mice - Social Studies

Today I finished one of our social studies activity we watched a short clip about rats/mice, after watching the clip we answer some question base on the clip that we watched. Some part of the video makes me uncomfortable because some part of the clip shows a lot of rats and mice. But anyways this is the task that I did for this activity.

At a farm
  1. How did this happen?
Rats started to because they are one of the most active animals and because of the rain flood the rats went to the farm and the number of them started to increase.
  1. How much offspring (Babies) can 2 mice parents make?
2,000 babies in a matter of months.
  1. How much wheat did the mice eat?
500,00 tons of wheat.
  1. How did they get rid of the mice and how many dead mice were there?

Chromatography Experiment

Aim: To separate the different pigments using from the ink.
Hypothesis: I think when the water reach the ink it will starting to go up and the ink will start to fade.
Method :

  1. Put 50 Ml of water on the beaker and make sure that its exactly 50 ml.
  2. Put a dot on the bottom of the filter paper. Put it in center.
  3. After you put the dot put the filter paper into the water but make sure only the edge of it is on the water.
  4. Fold the top of the filter paper to avoid the chances that the filter paper will fall into the water.
  5. Leave it for a couple of minutes and start to observe the process.
Result:
The first time that we try I used the color pink but when we needed to take it out into the water I notice that nothing change from it. The color didn't change at all instead the color just go up and started to fade.
For the second one the teacher said that we need to use color black instead of any other colors, this experiment is more better that the first one because I can see different colors.

Discussion: I think the second experiment is more better than the first one because we can see more different colors than the first one. The first one we can just see one color and the same color but the second one shows a lot of different colors. I think that it because we use a dark color and for the first one we use a brights color. I really enjoy this experiment and I love to do more.
